Did you happen see the makeup Lady Gaga wore to meet the Queen of England this week? It's about as over-the-top as we'd expect it to be. (Does that mean Gaga's so wacky she's getting boring and predictable?)

When the Lady met the Queen, she had her eyes framed in a mask of red gemstones, which matched her red lipstick and red pleather floor-length gown. The look seems inspired by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I suppose we should just be happy that Gaga didn't go pantsless. I'm curious what you guys think of her Swarovskified eyes--are they, in your mind, yet another example of Gaga's creative genius, or a tacky cry for yet more attention? Should she have toned things down a bit more for the Queen, or do you think Her Highness would expect nothing less than this?

Also, just because it's the most blah, dreary day ever here in New York, will you play a little game with me? If you were a pop star who got a chance to meet the Queen, what statement makeup would you wear? (I think I'd do metallic gold eyeliner--regal and fun, but somewhat subtle and not too tart-y)

Whatever you guys think of Gaga's aesthetic antics, you're loving her "Bad Romance" video.
